Also good news from Asa in Sweden. Becky (Sweet Expression's Knocks Your Socks Off) was in Norway and at the Int. show on Saturday she won the CAC and with this CAC she won the Norwegian Championtitle, and at Sunday at the International show she was Best Bitch with the CACIB and gained the title Nordic Winner. Congratulations Asa!!

After this we went to Split in Croatia, where we had 4 shows in a row (12 OES). At the first evening Tom again was Best of Breed!! Oprah won her Juniorclass and a JCAC. The next day Tom won the reserve CC, Oprah again won the Juniorclass. The third day Tom again won the reserveticket, Oprah again won her class and with this winning she won the Croatian Juniorchampionshiptitle! Day 4: Tom won the reserve again and we didn't show Oprah any more, she was soooo tired of showing, and we thought it would be nicer for the people with their dogs in the Juniorclass that we didn't come :-))...and they liked that! LOL

Jessica and Mark van Dijk were in Split too with Emma ( Ch. Sweet Expression's Circus Circus) and Claire (Sweet Expression's Nothing to Declare). Emma won 3x CAC and Claire too....and 2x reserve CACIB. So sorry that one judge did give Claire an excellent but not the CC....because Claire was too big for her......(she is 62 cm..  do we have a standard where the max. size is written in? ) otherwise Claire would have been a Champion too.....   but for us she already is!

DNA results for the mutation responsible of PCD (respiratory disorders) in Old English Sheepdog  Please find hereby the DNA results for the blood samples collected from  SWEET EXPRESSION’S CIRCUS CIRCUS and SWEET EXPRESSION’S NOTHING TODECLARE, SWEET EXPRESSION'S LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION AND SWEET EXPRESSION'S HOLE IN ONE  at the international Bobtail meeting in Genk last May 2009.

The genomic DNA was extracted from the blood samples and tested for the presence of the mutation responsible of the respiratory disease (called Primary Ciliary

Dyskinesis or PCD) also characterized in a few dogs by a displacement of the heart and liver (situs inversus)

The results obtained on the DNA can be the following:

1- sample healthy : « +/+ »

2- sample carrier : « MUT1/+ »

3- sample affected : « MUT1/MUT1 »

- Dogs with the genotype « +/+ » are healthy and will not transmit the disease to any puppy.

- Dogs with the genotype « MUT1/+ » are healthy but they carry the mutation and will transmit the mutation to half of their offspring. However if they are crossed with a healthy dog, none of the puppies will develop the disease. If they are crossed with another carrier, a quarter of the puppies will be affected!

- Dogs with the genotype « MUT1/MUT1 » are affected and will develop the disease. They will transmit the mutation to all their offspring. If they are crossed with a healthy dog, all puppies will carry the mutation but will not be affected. If they are crossed with a carrier « MUT1/+ », half of the puppies will be affected!

14-7-1996  Sweet Expression's Blue Sensation 'Fleurtje'  2-9-2009

 and Claire (Sweet Expression's Nothing to Declare, 9 months) at the national show in Bergheim, Germany. Judge was mr. John Wauben, NL. Tiger won the Championclass males with the CAC,

 Kayleigh was second with the reserve CAC and Claire, just 9 months old won the Juniorclass with her first Junior CAC. It was a sunny and relaxing showday!

Ulla Hellman reported that she went to a big puppyshow in Finland with Walker (Sweet Expression's Nordic Walker). He first made it to best OES-puppy and after a huge competition he made it to reserve best in Group puppy! Well done Ulla and Walker!

Asa wrote us that Becky (Sweet Expression's Knocks your Socks Off)  was last weekend at a show in Pitea ( judge Mrs. Soile Bister from Finland) where Becky, 17 months now, won Best of Breed and BEST IN SHOW 2!!! The next day Becky was entered in Koping (judge Grethe Bergendahl from Norway) and won the CAC and reserve best bitch! This weekend Asa went to the CACIB show in Sweden (judge Mrs. Pamela Runderkamp, Holland) where Becky won her class and the reserve CACIB. Well done Asa and Becky!

Becky's report: 1,5 year old girl on the bigger size, still feminin. Well formed head, lovely expressive dark eye. Nice bite. Sufficient topline, nice body, excellent bone, well angulated. Coat coming nicely. Well angulated, moved with drive.

1st show: BOB, best Junior, Best junior in show!

2nd. show: BOB, best Junior, Best in show Junior and Best in Group 1 

3rd. show: BOB, best Junior, Best in Show Junior and Best in Group 3

5-7-2009: Sweet Expression's Hole in One (Tiger)  won the Championclass in Nordhorn (Germany) with the CAC, and with this CAC he has won another title: German Champion CfBrH. 

At the same show we entered our Sweet Expression's Nothing to Declare (Claire) in the puppyclass, showed by Jessica, the co-owner of Claire. Jessica showed Claire to best puppy and BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!

*At the most important 2 shows "White Nights 1,2" in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) last weekend (27-28.06.09) Igor (Sweet Expression's Krackerjack)  took R.CACIB both days, not bad for a 17 months old male!

* The same weekend: The owners of Sweet Expression's Kidding, No Kidding mailed us with the following results: Lithuania (judge Maciej Kozber from Poland) BOB, JCAC, BIS Junior,
Latvia (judge Nijole Zieniene from Lithuania) JCAC, BOBJunior. He has the titles Latvia Junior Champion, Lithuania JuniorChampion now!

* Tiger (Ch.Sweet Expression's Hole in One) was shown yesterday in Duisburg (Germany) and he won Best in Show! With this winning he also had enough points to have a new title: German VDH Champion. We congratulate the co-owner Nadine Ridzewski who handled him so well!

9-6-2009: Last weekend we brought Phill to his new owners in Holland. He will have a good life with his new family and his uncle Lucky, the litterbrother of his mother Antje!

*We also got the wonderful news from Russia that Igor- Sweet Expression's Krackerjack  (Ch. Sweet Expression's Hole in One X Ch. Sweet Expression's Say Cheese) is a Russian Champion now with the winning of the BOB and BIS4! Congratulations Elena!

2-6-2009: We had a wonderful Euro-OES show, organized by the Belgian OES Club and we congratulate them with a perfect organized weekend!  We entered 3 Sweet Expression's at the show, but we decided not to show them ourselves but we let the 'youngsters' and co-owners show their dogs themselves to learn the 'job'. They worked hard and they did a very good job! Tiger (Sweet Expression's Hole in One) was shown by Nadine and he was in the last 6 of the group Open Males (17 entrees) with an Excellent. Jodie (Sweet Expression's Lights, Camera, Action!) was entered in the Junior group (14) and got a Very Good, but Linda handled her very well! Claire (Sweet Expression's Nothing to Declare) was in the Puppyclass (13) shown by Jessica and she was placed 3rd!

25-5-2009: Most of the puppies are gone to the new owners and all are doing great! We still have one puppy (male) looking for a new family at home.

We had the Championclubshow in Holland last weekend, judge was Barrie Croft from the UK. We had a great show, Claire ( Sweet Expression's Nothing to Declare) was BEST PUPPY, wonderful handled by her co-owner Jessica van Dijk, and Jodie (Sweet Expression's Lights...Camera...Action!) was also best Juniorbitch, also handled by her co-owner Linda Buitenkamp.  Our Tiger (Ch.Sweet Expression's Hole in One) also won his class!! 20-5-2009: This week we got the wonderful news that Igor (Sweet Expression's Krackerjack) was shown in St. Petersburg last weekend, on Saturday he was Best of Breed and won a Group2,  on Sunday again he was Best of Breed and won a Group1!!! We are very proud of him!

13-5-2009: * Our Tom ( Brinkley Barnaby) is staying in Israel now for some shows and some matings. At his first International show he won the CAC-CACIB,  BOB, and after that Group2. How proud we are!

* The puppies had their eye- and eartests and they all are clear! Some of them already left to their new owners. We still have one male puppy left for good owners. A new movie of the puppies 8 weeks old playing in the garden with their mother under puppies.

2-5-2009: Yesterday we got the sad news that Sam (CH. Sweet Expression's Ali Baba) has died at the age of 13. A very big thank you for the good life he had to the owners Ron and Willy van Opijnen who loved him so much these years. Our thoughts are with them.

14-4-2009: We went to the International dogshow in Leeuwarden (Netherlands) yesterday with our Tom (Brinkley Barnaby). Judge was Mr. Jan de Gids from the Netherlands. He liked Tom very much and gave him the CAC-CACIB and Best of Breed, and in the group Tom was placed 3rd! We are very pleased with these results! Click HERE to read his report.

03-04-2009: We received an email from Karen Fischbach in the US that Mason (Sweet Expression's Midsomer Rhapsody) has won enough points for the US Championtitle, he achieved this in 4 weekends of show! What a great job, congratulations Karen!

12-3-2009: Yesterday our Antje (Ch. Sweet Expression's Say Cheese) got puppies after our Tom (Brinkley Barnaby). 6 Males & 2 bitches, mother and puppies are doing great! Click HERE to see the first photos!

3-3-2009: What a great weekend we had!!! Our Tiger (Sweet Expression's Hole in One) won Best Male at the international show in Groningen (NL) and with this win he won the  INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONTITLE at the age of 2 years!

In Moskou at the Eurasia show ( the biggest and most important show of Russia) two Sweet Expression's OES were entered: Igor-Sweet Expression's Krackerjack (Ch. Sweet Expression's Hole in One X Ch. Sweet Expression's Say Cheese)  and Jan (Sweet Expression's Man of the Match). On Saturday Igor was second in the Juniorclass with an Excellent, and on Sunday he was BEST JUNIOR!

On Saturday Jan was BEST OES PUPPY, and on Sunday he became reserve BEST PUPPY in SHOW! How proud we are!

17-2-2009: Great showresults : Igor ( Sweet Expression's Krackerjack:-Sweet Expression's Hole in One X Ch.Sweet Expression's Say Cheese) again won at his third show the Juniorclass and the YouthCAC, and this makes him Russian Juniorchampion. He didn't win the title only, but was Best of Breed and won Group 1!! And this at the age of 13 months! Congratulations Elena! 

More news from Russia: Jan ( Sweet Expression's Man of the Match) again won Best puppy and was 3 best puppy in Show out of 32 puppies! Well done Nadya!

06-02-2009: We went to the vet today with our Antje (Ch. Sweet Expression's Say Cheese) to see if she is pregnant....and she is!! Puppies are expected around March 12th.

31-1-2009: We received an email from Karen Fischbach that Mason (Sweet Expression's Midsomer Rhapsody) again won Best of Winners to get a 4 point Major! He now has 9 points and one of his 2 majors required to be an AKC champion...which is pretty good for an 7 month old youngster in 3 weekends of shows!! We are very proud of Mason and Karen!

*Good news from Evely Vahtramäe from Estonia, she and her partner Andres ( owners of Rasmus)  are the proud parents of a daughter named Emily! Congratulations !!! 

*We confirmed our holiday in October ....we are going to the national in Dixon, California!

12-1-2009: Last weekend was a good weekend for Evely with Rasmus (Sweet Expression's Kidding, No Kidding) in Estonia, Rasmus won at his third official show the Juniorclass males and Best Junior under judge Brigitte Schjøth, and with this third JCAC he has won the official title Estonian Juniorchampion. Thank you Keida for showing Rasmus and congratulations Evely!

7-1-2009: Karen Fischbach from the US emailed us that Mason again won 2 points for the Championtitle. Congratulations Karen!    Two of our puppies went to their new owners today, Walker to Ulla in Finnland and Tara to Kitty in Greece.  Before they left we took some photos of them.
